The FELSOMAT Turning Center 240 offers the potential not only to reduce individual machining operations but to shorten the entire manufacturing process chain. Thanks to its rigid machine structure and high precision, it is often possible to replace grinding operations with FELSOMAT hard-turning processes. Machining in a single clamping avoids geometrical deviations caused by reclamping the workpiece. This simplifies production processes, increases process stability, and significantly reduces manufacturing costs.
The machine’s double-spindle concept enables pendulum operation, significantly increasing productivity. While one spindle is machining, workpiece changeover is already taking place on the second spindle. Non-productive times are virtually eliminated, ensuring optimum machine utilization.
