The Felsomat Edge PC forms the interface between the control level and a local server. Data can be buffered in case of communication failures of the IT factory network. Via an OPC UA (open platform communication unfield architecture - control-independent data transfer) data is exchanged between the individual plant controls and forwarded to a higher-level data system (SQL database).
The user interface of the Part Monitoring module is web-based and can be used via a normal browser, without additional installed software, from different end devices.
